If you ever need a sampling engine, rather than buying Omnisphere I would go for Kontakt. FM synthesis is one of the most powerful yet complex to master, but Sytrus comes free with FL Studio and it's really powerful. Once you have mastered it, I would try to master Sytrus. It's the most affordable of these three and really powerful. Having in mind you're pretty new to FL Studio, I would go for Serum. You'll need a really powerfull PC as well as deep knowledge of synthesis to use it properly. An absolute beast, but is expensive ($500) and CPU-heavy. Omnisphere: analog, wavetable, granular, FM synth and sampling engine. Nexus: rompler (sampling engine but locked to samples provided by the dev), good if you want quality results fast but your music may sound repetitive at some point since there's no way to use it for extensive sound design, you're tied to buy expansions each time you want something 'different' Serum: wavetable synthesiser, lots of preset packs (both paid and free) on the internet
